Goals/Purpose:
Students will gain better technique, reading, and percussion knowledge to increase the level of performance for high school percussionists.
Students will receive a binder with the following:
Warm-ups/technique builders/sight reading/solos including mallets, timpani & drum set
Who:
Battery/Front Ensemble (includes timpani, drum set, and auxiliary)
Master Classes:
Timpani/Aux/Drum Set
Concert/Orchestral Percussion
Writing/Arranging for Percussion:
Reinforcing the Winds vs. Independent Percussion Parts
Percussion Maintenance:
Changing/tuning drumheads - SD/Tenors/BD/Timpani/Drum Set
Organizing the Percussion Area - Marching/Concert/Aux/Implements
Open Session:
